Still Old School

Duck Inn

Havre, Montana · Since 1932

A steak place on an old meat market site. Fitting.

The Story

Havre restaurant, tavern and casino on the old Billy's Meat Market site, with roots back to 1932. Steaks, shrimp, homemade soups and Montana taps.

The Duck Inn sits on the historic Billy’s Meat Market site on Havre’s east end, with origins going back to 1932. A steak place on an old meat market site. Fitting.

The menu is casual: homemade soups, burgers, steaks and shrimp. There’s a tavern pouring Montana taps and a casino attached. People along the Hi-Line have treated it as a dining landmark for years.

Havre doesn’t have spare landmarks to lose, and this one’s still open. Driving the Hi-Line? Go have a steak.

Why It's Still Old School

A Hi-Line supper stop with 1932 roots, on the Billy's Meat Market site on Havre's east end. The steaks come by it honestly.
