This is starter terms for Old School Montana, not a finished legal document. Have a lawyer read it before you treat it as final.

The site

Old School Montana publishes memories, photographs, and places tied to Montana. Some of what’s on the site while we’re building is marked demo. Demo means it was written to show the format. It is not a verified history of a real business.

What you send us

You can submit without an account. If you include a photo, you need the right to share it. Checking the permission box means you believe that, and that we may publish the submission after someone reads it.

We can edit for clarity, reject a submission, or take something down. Publication is an editorial decision.

Don’t send other people’s private information, accusations you can’t stand behind, or anything you don’t have permission to share.

Accounts

An account lets you see what you submitted, save a place or a story, and set the name that shows on a memory. It does not give you the editor desk. The desk is separate, and it isn’t a membership perk.

Still Old School

A place marked Still Old School, or Montana Original, got there because an editor said so. Paying for a feature, a sponsorship, or a listing does not turn those on. Sponsored placements are labeled.

The shop

If a shop opens later, it’ll be linked out or run by somebody set up to sell things. This site isn’t a checkout counter.
