Remington Bar

Still Old School Montana Original

Downtown Whitefish bar open since 1908, still pouring daily on Central Avenue.

Central Avenue since 1908. A Whitefish bar that outlasted the railroad town's remake into a destination.

This place is still going.

The Remington Bar’s own site says it opened in 1908 in downtown Whitefish and remains one of the most historic bars on Central Avenue. Hours are listed daily, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., at 130 Central.

Flathead Beacon’s century piece on the Great Northern noted older locals once called this corner the Palm before the Remington name, a reminder that Whitefish bar geography has nicknames layered on nicknames. What matters for this listing is the continuous downtown bar job the Remington still does.

If you are nearby, stop in and keep them busy.
