Missoula Club

Still Old School Montana Original

Downtown Missoula bar known for grilled burgers, cold beer, and a neon Main Street sign locals still use as a landmark.

Warm beer, cold burgers, same corner since the 1890s. People still call it the Mo Club.

This place is still going.

Missoula Club sits on West Main with a neon sign that has been photographed more times than anyone can count. The bar’s own site dates the place to 1890 and still leads with the same joke locals know by heart: warm beer, cold burgers. You order a single, double, or triple. They ask if you want cheese. That is most of the decision tree.

A July 2025 NBC Montana piece called the Mo Club out for 130 years of Missoula history and noted liquor license number one in the state, with the current Main Street location dating to 1926 according to a bartender interviewed for the story. Daytime is calmer. Nighttime gets louder. Grizzlies games still pull a crowd.

It reads old school because the job never changed: grill burgers, pour beer, keep the lights on. If you are nearby, stop in and keep them busy. Remember this place? Tell us what you remember.
