Hotel Finlen
1924 historic tower hotel in Uptown Butte with a mid-century motor inn wing and the Cavalier Lounge.
A working Uptown hotel from 1924, still checking people in when chain lodging sits by the interstate.
This place is still going.
Hotel Finlen’s own site dates the property to 1924 and describes two stays in one place: rooms in the historic tower and a mid-century motor inn wing. The address is 100 East Broadway, in the middle of Uptown Butte’s National Historic Landmark District.
The Cavalier Lounge still pours downstairs. Meeting space and event rooms keep the building in weekday use, not just as a photo stop. Visit Montana and recent guest reports treat it as an operating hotel rather than a mothballed landmark.
It is old school because it is still a hotel in the old part of town. If you are nearby, stop in and keep them busy.
