Still Old School
Hotel Finlen
A hotel that's still a hotel. In Uptown Butte, that counts.
The Story
Uptown Butte hotel since 1924. Pick the historic tower or the mid-century motor inn wing, then head downstairs to the Cavalier Lounge.
Hotel Finlen has been on East Broadway since 1924, right in the middle of Uptown Butte’s National Historic Landmark District. It gives you two stays under one name: a room in the historic tower, or one in the mid-century motor inn wing. Pick your decade.
The Cavalier Lounge still pours downstairs. Meeting and event rooms keep the place busy on weekdays. This is an operating hotel, not a landmark you admire from the sidewalk and then drive past.
In Uptown Butte, a hotel that’s still a hotel is no small thing. Get a room upstairs, then find a stool at the Cavalier.
Why It's Still Old School
The chain hotels sit out by the interstate. The Finlen has been checking people in on Broadway since 1924, and the Cavalier Lounge is still downstairs.
