Still Old School
Village Inn Pizza
A teardown, a move, and the pizza came back anyway.
The Story
Billings pizza parlor since 1968. The original building on Grand came down in 2023, and the parlor was back on Central Avenue before the year was out.
Village Inn Pizza opened on Grand Avenue in Billings in 1968. In March 2023 the original building was torn down. That could have been the end of it.
It wasn’t. Later that year the parlor reopened on Central Avenue under new owners, the Smith and Solheim families, who held on to a lot of the old interior character and equipment. It’s a dine-in place again.
Montana had more than one Village Inn Pizza Parlor over the decades. The Billings one is the one people still argue about, by topping and by booth.
So there was a teardown and a move, and the pizza came back anyway. Pick a booth and settle the argument.
Why It's Still Old School
The pizza parlor Billings grew up on. New address, old recipes, and still a place you sit down in instead of a box on your porch.
