Still Old School

Borrie's

Black Eagle, Montana · Since 1938

Thousands of ravioli a week, by hand. Somebody check on the wrists.

The Story

Black Eagle supper club since 1938, run by the same family for four generations. Spaghetti, steak dinners, and ravioli rolled by hand at 18th and Smelter.

Emilio “Borrie” Grasseschi opened Borrie’s in 1938. In 1956 it moved to the corner of 18th and Smelter Avenue in Black Eagle, and it hasn’t gone anywhere since. Four generations of the family have kept it running. Current owner Debbie Thomas, Borrie’s granddaughter, expanded the dining room in 1990.

The kitchen still uses decades-old recipes for the spaghetti sauce, the soup and the salad dressing. It also rolls thousands of ravioli by hand every week. Thousands. Every week. By hand. Think about the wrists.

Family and staff tend to stick around for decades too. It’s a dinner place.

It’s the supper club Great Falls and Black Eagle people still mean when they say supper club. Order the ravioli.

Why It's Still Old School
