Era
1980s
Mall Saturdays, and towns that still felt far apart.
1980s stories
Old School Montana If… from the 1980s
Old School Montana If…
You knew which grocery still cashed a check without making a speech about it
Old School Montana If…
You ate sawdust-floor pizza and tracked peanuts out onto Main Street
Old School Montana If…
You crossed the tracks in a railroad town and still used the depot as a landmark
Old School Montana If…
You knew a supper club by the early dinner hour and the parking lot full of pickups
Old School Montana If…
You bought one bolt at a time from a hardware counter that knew your last name
Old School Montana If…
You measured distance in radio static between towns, not in phone bars
Old School Montana If…
You can still smell the popcorn at a one-screen theater downtown
